Public officers across Singapore marked the start of Public Service Week with the One Public Service Observance Ceremony today.
Since COVID-19 landed on our shores early last year, our public officers have worked tirelessly and relentlessly, both on the frontlines and behind the scenes, to keep everyone safe. It has stretched the Service to the limit, and put us to a searching test. But because everyone worked together, our situation has steadily improved.
In this crisis, public officers have risen to the challenge. They have shown agility, resilience, and courage. Learning to live in the new normal will be crucial. I am confident we will succeed in overcoming COVID-19, and emerge stronger together.
